Wow! Summer 2016 was an exciting one here at Jordster.
Our summer began in May at Race Wars Texas held at Texas Motor Speedway in Fort Worth, Texas. As car and racing lovers, we were in absolute heaven. The entire event was held in the infield of the track and they had cars drag racing down pit road. As media members they even let us set up in the official media center (which we ended up having to ourselves the entire day!). We happened to arrive pretty early to the event while everything was still being setup. This is when the brilliant idea hit – TEXAS MOTOR SPEEDWAY TRACK TOUR in 360°/VR. See below for both the first-ever 360°/VR track tour of TMS as well as the official 360°/VR Race Wars Texas coverage. (Most videos currently posted on Facebook, YouTube, and VRideo to meet your many viewing needs whether you’re using your phone, a computer, or the Google Cardboard/Samsung Gear VR.)

We followed this fast-paced event by booking a multi-city 360°/Virtual Reality shoot that would eventually take us to: Montreal, Canada – Los Angeles, California – St. Louis, Missouri – Portland, Oregon – and lastly Vancouver, Washington. The shoot went really well and we can’t wait to share some footage once the client releases it later this year.
Given that we would be traveling all around the country, we took it upon ourselves to shoot extra 360°/VR footage whenever possible. Between our Montreal and Los Angeles shoot, we came home to our home location of Dallas, Texas and provided 360°/VR media coverage of Fan Expo Dallas 2016. Some favorite shots from the weekend were a really cool comic artist sketch duel, a close up time-lapse of a sketch commission, and lastly Stan Lee’s final Dallas appearance with a panel moderated by Todd McFarlane. After this busy couple of weeks we then jumped on a plane for St. Louis. Our favorite extra coverage for the summer took place in St. Louis. It really feels like you’re at the many different attractions of downtown St. Louis, especially if you’re using a Virtual Reality headset. While in Portland, we shot Pittock Mansion and the Portland Rose Garden, which is supposed to home nearly every rose variety in existence. These two 360°/VR videos should be on our social sites over the next week. We were unable to find extra time in Montreal or Los Angeles but we did visit LA back in April and have some really cool footage from then which we’ll link below:

To finish off this Summer 2016 update, we’ll end with our final event. PokeSkate: A Pokemon Party! The PokeSkate takes place at Thunderbird Roller Rink in Plano, Texas and is a Friday night event that occurs at the rink. All of the local Dallas/Fort Worth trainers meet for a night of PokemonGO hunting with prizes and FREE lures all evening. If you missed the action, you can see our 360°/Virtual Reality Experience here. PokeSkate2: A Pokemon Party will be on Friday, September 23, 2016. Check the link for Facebook event details.
We hope to post a bunch of pictures from these many locations. Some of which can already be viewed on Instagram or Facebook @jordster360 🙂
Until next time…
If you can see me, I can see you!
